An alternative to expensive camera gear storage

My son (who is a cinematographer) needed more storage for all his camera equipment and supplies. After doing a little research I quickly noticed that professional camera storage is quite expensive. So one day I walked into my workshop and noticed that my toolbox might do the trick.
I measured it and ran to my son’s room to verify it would fit in the space he had available in his room. It was a perfect fit. Luckily this was my excuse to purchase a bigger toolbox for me! I cleaned the outside and inside of the toolbox and lined the drawers. I also purchased the Craftsman Magnetic power strip and attached it on the side so he could easily charge his batteries quickly and efficiently!
Now the organization part is a work in progress, but I feel that the low cost of this storage solution was a big win!
